From Space to Place

Dates: 2004-05

From Space to Place presented works created by 14 early-career Australian artists during their residency at IASKA (International Art Space Kellerberrin Australia) between 2004-05. The program resulted from encounters between young artists and the people and places of contemporary rural Australia.

From Space to Place provided artists with a rare opportunity to work outside an urban environment for extended periods of time. The resulting works highlight the excitement that stems from the discovery of new realities and from a dialogue between individuals, representing sections of society who don’t often have an opportunity to engage with each other.
