OPEN SPACE: emerging producer workshop series
As the next step in our OPEN SPACE emerging producer program, we are starting a new series of online workshops commencing 26 March, presented by our education partner UWA School of Design. These sessions will provide professional development to our current cohort of emerging producers who are working alongside SPACED 5: Circular Economies artists to provide assistance with community engagement, documentation, creative production, and many other areas. We’re excited to share the workshops, targeting the skills needed by producers working in community and socially engaged arts:
Filmmaking and video for art (Vladimir Todorović, UWA); 26 March
Working with Communities and Social Sustainability (Lara Camilla Pinho, UWA); 2 April
Producing Cross-Disciplinary Art (Ionat Zurr, UWA); 9 April, 4pm
Curating Social Practice (Lee Kinsella & Jess Hutchens, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, UWA); 16 April
Collaborations and Working with Artists (Elizabeth Pedler, SPACED): 23 April
Documenting, publishing your project (Darren Jorgensen, UWA): 30 April
OPEN SPACE is a paid program offering regional and metropolitan emerging arts-workers and producers opportunities to work in close contact with the SPACED team and experienced artists from all over the world.
