Special thanks to our Rural Utopias community hosts in Margaret River

In our programs we work with community partners to foster new and more productive modes of interaction between contemporary artists and communities and to promote a dialogue between regional, metropolitan, and international perspectives.

For the Rural Utopias residency, we have been generously supported by Salvatore (Sam) and Nigel, Margaret River locals and artisans. Local businessman Sam has beautifully restored local places, including train carriages, old post offices and more recently the former Witchcliffe general store, Darnell’s.

If you are in the Margaret River area you can experience the unique metalwork and woodwork designs combined with recovered objects from far and wide. Something not to be missed.
