This symposium brings together artists, researchers, and organisers to yarn, present, and perform about their diverse arts practices and imagine creative approaches for the future of work in the visual arts sector. Participants will present creative ideas that challenge existing processes and structures to create more equitable, inclusive, and collaborative approaches that recognise and embrace the diverse cultural and social values in artistic and creative practices today.

For the Rural Utopias residency with Jo Darbyshire in Lake Grace, we have been generously supported by the Lake Grace Contemporary Art Space.

The Lake Grace Bushcare project will see 3,700 native seedlings planted around the town during the month of June. The plantings follow a Flora Survey of townsite remnant bush by local botanist Anne Rick which recorded 115 plant species. Included in the survey are eight acacia (wattle) species, eight types of melaleuca (paperbarks, honey-myrtles) and ten eucalypts species.

We are thrilled to see Know Thy Neighbour #3 artist Elham Eshraghian-Haakansson announced as a joint winner in the Ellen José Art Award for Young Women.
